Ethiopia has a great number of National Park, Wildlife Sanctuaries and other protected areas, however the level of actual protection varies. Many of these areas face fierce competition of the ever growing human population. Don't expect the same game viewing opportunities like the traditional safari destinations of Eastern en Southern Africa but this doesn't mean it is less rewarding for anyone with interest for nature.
